So I have been on a lot of blogs lately trying to promote the upcoming release of my book “Wormwood.” I've noticed that a lot of blogs, websites, forums and fan-sites are proclaiming themselves nerd sites or geek sites. My question is not if it’s okay to be a geek, of course it’s okay, my question is whether geek, nerd, spaz is the new cool? With the popularity of comic books, sci-fi, superheroes and technology in general I think that it is. I think that everyone is some kind of geek, it just takes us longer to figure it out. Back in high school none of us would have proclaimed ourselves king of the dipwads, but now it’s almost like it’s hip to be a nerd. So if the eighties were Member’s only and cocaine, and the nineties were grunge and smack, the 2000’s Brangelina and Oxycontin… Then the 2010’s would be geeks and medical marijuana. Anyway, that’s my analogy. So what do you guys think? Are you proud to step forward and say that you’re a dweeb? We have a bunch of quality entertainment coming up on the site: including a podcast, the second part to “The Man with the White Face” and of course more trailers and blogs.
