I’ve been skirting around this subject all week so I will now address the mystery of Bigfoot. It seems that the numbers of sightings, believers and Bigfoot “Hunters” increase every year. I think that a lot of the sightings have to do with the power of suggestion. The show “Finding Bigfoot” was in neighboring Rhode Island and now all of a sudden we’re hearing about the Connecticut bigfoot. I live in a wooded area (Connecticut) but I’ve never had a sighting, I’ve lived here all my life and I’ve never heard of a sighting until this show comes around. Now that alone doesn’t mean that Sasquatch’s don’t exist, I guess what I’m saying is that I simply don’t believe it until I’ve personally seen one or have seen conclusive evidence.
Another issue is that Bigfoot hunting has become big business. The sale of trail-camera’s, books on how to do your own investigations and multiple TV shows mean that there is a lot of money involved. I feel that there’s a lot worse things people could be doing with their money than buying a decent camera and sitting out in the woods at night. I also think though that with every single person who gets out there and doesn’t see anything the chances are going down that the creature actually exists. There are rewards out there and whoever comes up with solid evidence becomes a pretty big star… That’s some good motivation right.
Think about how much ground is now being covered from The Pacific Northwest to the Swamp Ape of the Southeast. Wouldn’t more trail camera’s and more high quality smart phone camera’s increase the chance of an actual photograph or video? It seems that the better technology gets the more fuzzy, blurred photo’s we see, shouldn’t it be the opposite?
Scientists keep asking for a corpse, I don’t really need a corpse, but it would be nice if someone could find at least some crap. I mean sasquatch crap would have to be pretty big right? How come no one can find a steaming pile of bigfoot crap? I walk through the woods and see deer crap, rabbit crap heck I’ve even found Owl crap. When I was in Colorado I found Elk crap, Bear crap and even moose crap. How come I didn’t find any Squatch crap? It wasn’t even like I was looking for crap and I still found a lot of crap.
So in my opinion, I don’t need to see any hair samples, a dead bigfoot or footprints. I think the winner is the guy who finds the…. Yup
