So my post today will be Atomic April (that’s two A’s do I get extra points?) I’m gonna talk a little bit about my novel “Wormwood” which is coming out in May. The story begins in April and my main character Nate has an irrational dislike for the month of April. Why? you ask. Well Nate has a Panic/Anxiety disorder and thinks that something bad always happens in April.
In my story something bad really does happen in April. The world goes crazy and through a series of international incidents a full-scale nuclear war happens. Nate and the woman he has a serious crush on Jeannette take shelter together. So the story goes on to describe the nuclear attack and how they leave their shelter a month later to find a devastated world.
Nate and Jeannette then have to go through hell to save themselves and their small town of Middlebrook Connecticut. This small rural town is fictional, but it’s based almost entirely on the town I grew up in -- Durham, Connecticut.
I really hope you guys like the novel. I am very proud of it and like I said above it will be out in May. Right now I’m targeting the release tentatively for the second week.
If you guys are interested my short story “The Manuscript” is FREE on Amazon.com for the next two days. It’s a story about a serial killer who happens to be a writer. He gets tired of rejection after rejection and takes a literary agent hostage. He forces her to read the novel which may be describing her own fate in gruesome detail.
